Is it just me, or do all the cats with different colored eyes always have one blue eye? The other eye may be one of several different colors, but one will always be blue. At least in my experience.

I have two cats that have one blue eye and one green eye. The older cat in not all white. He has a sprinkling of “salt and pepper” between his ears and some on his tail. He is now 18 years old. Quite the old man. The second is all white, with one blue eye and one green eye. When the two look at each other, their eyes are mirror images. The blue eye looks at the blue eye and the green eye looks at the green eye. Strangely enough, they are not related to each other at all other than the fact that they were both adopted by me. Shiloh and Shiloh, Jr. affectionately called, Junior.

when an all white cat has 2 diff. color eyes, the blue one is blind and the opposite ear is deaf.

That is no true in all cases. I have a cat that is all white with one blue eye and one green eye. He is not blind in his blue eye or deaf at all.

my cute cat is the same as these sadly he was born completely deaf..on the other hand he loves the vacuum cleaner!

My cat too! How did you find out it was deaf? It took me about a month to realize it

i had realized he wasnt responding with his ears if i said something. Or whenever something fell to the floor (usually because of him lol) so i waited for him to fall asleep and i tried clapping but he stayed asleep so i turned on a shop vac right behind him. He stayed asleep (whilst my other cat was scared to death!)

Ever wondered why do some cats have two different colored eyes? The key to eye color is melanin. Melanin is a black or dark brown pigment which is present in the hair, skin, and eyes of animals including cats and people.

Can’t begin to see so many white cats with green & blue eyes. They remind me of my cat Chase that I had to put down in Jan. Still miss him and swear I him when I least expect it.

Princess I guess but not sure what else to call her. She has been named Jenny by her foster parents but don’t really want that name. They are going to keep her until after labor day so I won’t have to leave her by herself for 4 days.
