Baby Elephant Playing at the Beach [6 Pictures]

What you are seeing is a tragedy – a baby separated from its mother to beg in the streets of Thailand. Please never feed these babies. Many are stolen from the wild with mothers and aunties killed while protecting the baby. Whether stolen or bred and then separated, the babies suffer terribly from horrific abuse with hooks and ropes to get them to obey and then from malnutrition, especially to their bones. It IS a tragedy, and hurts all of us that there are not enough happy stories to go with happy ele pics.

I am sorry about being a kill joy. But when I see these webpages and I know they know nothing of elephant plights, I see it as an opportunity to get people to at least start thinking differently.

I love the pictures but it breaks my heart to think that he is all on his own, to think that he will end up without his family.. I just wish there were happier times a head for him…sooo sad!!! xxx
